What to Expect

Preparing for Your Appointment

1. Please bring all of your medications to your appointment

2. Proper diagnosis prior to treatment is essential. If you have had any diagnostic imaging (plain film x-ray, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound) on the area that you want treated, request the report and bring it to your consultation/mapping session. If you don't have it, don't worry! You can sign a medical records release when you come and we will try to get a copy.

3. Avoid taking any pain reliever or anti-inflammatory prior to your consultation/mapping session. Stemwave technology relies on biofeedback and sensation of discomfort to tell us where your inflammation is. Pain relievers or other anti-inflammatories may not give us desired results.

4. Wear comfortable/loose fitting clothing that is easy to move or remove during your session. We need to be able to expose the area that we will be working with during your session.

5. Ultrasound get will be used during every session. We will try to avoid your clothing, but please note, that some may accidentally get on your clothing during a session if you do not choose to wear a gown.

6. You will still be under the care of your primary care provider and/or specialists/therapists. Stemwave treatments will be done in addition to your routine care and will supplement your medical healing. Feel free to consult your provider at any time and I will also be glad to speak with him or her to answer any questions or provide any information to you, your family, or friends.

7. Stemwave is considered safe for most patients. It is safe for patients on aspirin and blood thinners.

8. Stemwave is safe for patients that have had chemotherapy, but it CANNOT BE USED ON PATIENTS WITH ACTIVE CANCER and it is NOT SAFE FOR USE IN PREGNANCY.
